The Oculus Screens

The team at Sibling Rivalry embraced the sheer scale of the experience and used Ford’s energy-saving cars as the starting point, we created a tableau of lush greenery blooming into CG flowers and a field of vines — juxtaposing it all with visceral, human moments of mobility.

MODULARITY

The two related technical hurdles were the sheer enormity of the number of pixels per frame due to the extreme resolution of a synchronized array of screens and the wildly different aspect ratios. To tackle both we used modularity and a design element and as a practical means of subdividing the frames into more bite-size pieces.
